Head coach of Ghana Black Stars, Otto Addo says they will strive to finish the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on a high note.
Ghana is on the verge of booking their spot after thrashing Central African Republic 5-0 at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes in Morocco on Wednesday.
The Black Stars need just one point against Comoros to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in the United States, Mexico and Canada. They will slug it out with the East Africans on Sunday, October 12, at the Accra Sports Stadium with kick-off scheduled at 19:00 GMT.
During his media briefing ahead of the game, Otoo Addo said he is determined take home all the three points available instead of just the one point needed.
“This is where everybody should show how professional they are. I’ve seen a lot in football, a lot. I once led with my team 4-0, and we lost 6-4,” he said.
He added “In football, anything can happen. We’re not done until we’re done. I think we want to end this qualification with a victory. This is for sure,”.
Ahead of the game on Sunday Ghana lead at the summit of Group I with three points.
