CAF CONFEDERATION Cup: Asante Kotoko Depart for Morocco Ahead of Wydad Clash

Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko have left for Morocco for their CAF Confederation Cup playoff tie against Wydad Athletic Club.

Ahead of the game on Friday October 24, 2025, the club’s logistics and accommodation staff, arrived in Morocco on Sunday, October 19, to make the necessary arrangements before the team’s arrival.

The Porcupine Warriors faced an uphill task ahead of the reverse fixture after losing the first installment by 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Despite the narrow defeat, Kotoko is upbeat about their chances as they aim to overturn the result away from home to enable them advance into the group stages of the competition.

Coach Karim Zito and his charges will need to do something out of the ordinary to overcome the Moroccan football powerhouse on their own home turf.

Having beaten Kwara United in Nigeria before meeting Wydad, Kotoko is confident of repeating the same feat in Morocco against all odds.
